  • PART-TIME TEACHER OF MFL (FRENCH AND/OR SPANISH) TO GCSE (0.5 APPROX)

    Closing date: 5 PM ON MONDAY 4TH JUNE 2018

    We are looking to appoint a high quality part-time (0.5) MFL teacher who is fully committed to the aims and values of the Academy. It is essential that the person we appoint can teach either French or Spanish to GCSE.  MFL has an established track record of successfully recruiting students for Key Stage 4 languages and we expect, to have four GCSE groups in Year 9 next year as well as three in Year 10.  A larger contract fraction may be available to candidates also able to offer Key Stage 3 Business and Computer Science.  We believe this post offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced or a newly qualified colleague looking to join a friendly and successful team.

    We expect this post will be paid on the scale M1-M6.  We anticipate making a permanent appointment but may appoint for a fixed term of one year in the first instance pending a further analysis of our curriculum needs.

  • FULL OR PART-TIME TECHNICIANS (TERM-TIME ONLY)

    Closing date: Wednesday 6th June 2018

    The Macclesfield Academy is seeking to appoint highly skilled and experienced technicians to work in the science and technology departments.  The roles will be term time only and the hours per week are negotiable.  Applications are welcomed for either full or part time roles.

    The ideal candidates will be flexible and have the ability to support the teaching of science and design technology by providing practical support and resources that will inspire our students and allow them to progress to their full potential.  Experience in similar roles is preferable but full training will be given.

    This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  The successful applicant will be expected to undertake a criminal record check via the DBS.

    The salary scale for these posts is Grade 4, ie.  £16,820-£18,127 pro rata.

  • PART-TIME TEACHER OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ICT (0.5)

    We are looking to appoint a high quality Computer Science and ICT teacher who is fully committed to the aims and values of the Academy. The ability to offer Business Studies as well would be an advantage but is not essential. We believe this post offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced or a newly qualified colleague looking to join a friendly and successful team.  We expect the contract fraction for this post to be 0.5 (half time) but we are still working on the final details of our staffing and timetable for next year and this may change.  We expect to make a permanent appointment but may make a fixed term appointment in the first instance pending further analysis of our staffing needs.
