Art for all with our new Art clubs

Mrs Underhill and the arts team have been busy arranging arts clubs and additional sessions so that all students have the opportunity to develop their visual and creative skills. Newly appointed student art ambassadors are also on hand to help.

Year 7&8 Art Club is 3pm -3.45 in room 62.  This half term it is on a Tuesday and we are developing observational drawing skills – new members are always welcome.  After half term the club will be on a Thursday after school to avoid clashing with sports clubs.  Look out for posters in school.  You may also come to do your Art homework – you can use materials and ask the teachers for advice.

KS4 Art Club – open house on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  This is aimed at Year 9 and 10 students who want to take GCSE Art in the future and would like to keep practising their skills by doing an independent art project – or just to work on Enrichment projects.  Look out for posters in school.

GCSE Art & Photography Homework sessions – we open up the department so students can independently develop their coursework, use equipment, ask teachers for advice and work with their friends in a relaxed environment.  Attendance after school is directly linked with success at GCSE – so plan when your night will be! Monday, Tuesday or Thursday nights are the best for us.  (Students must check if they are wanted by other subjects on their subject ‘priority’ nights).
