Our Partners

The Macclesfield Academy Learning Community (MALC) is a vibrant partnership of the Academy and its partner primary schools: Ash Grove, Gawsworth, Hollinhey, Ivy Bank, Parkroyal and Wincle. Together we work on a variety of issues of benefit to us all, including assessment, provision for the most able, S.E.N.D, staff training and holiday schools. Our transition programme is an important part of this partnership and ensures that all of our Year 7 children join us with a strong sense of what it is like to be an Academy student.

St George’s Street Baptist Church
Over the last year we have developed an important partnership with St George’s Baptist Church. Pastor Tony Tognieri has made an important contribution to the Academy, supporting lessons, our enrichment programmes and extra curricular activities. Tony has provided invaluable support to students of all faiths and none, and we look forward to his role developing over the coming years.

Macclesfield College
Macclesfield College has sponsored the Academy since we opened in 2011. The College appoints the majority of our governors and has played a key role in determining our core values and setting our strategy. In particular, the emphasis the College placed on innovation as we were setting up the Academy played an important part in shaping our curriculum, which is one of the foundations of our success.
