Another dress finds its owner!

Mrs Lucas' sewing club continues to bring together the wonderful work of our students with the lives of children in Cambodia!

When visiting Siem Reap in April, Mrs Lucas and Mrs McDowell took with them a selection of clothes made by The Macclesfield Academy students, to be handed out to children who are living in poverty. However, not all the clothes found recipients, until now. 

Last week, Mrs Lucas received a photo of a young girl who had been given a dress made by Year 8 student, Grace D. This is the first garment that Grace has made since she has been attending the sewing group and learning how to use a sewing machine. 

Well done Grace and how lovely to see your hard work has found its wearer!
