Admission Arrangements

Year 6 to 7 – ‘Transition’.

Children in Year 6 can apply to Year 7 at The Macclesfield Academy.  Applications for a place at the Macclesfield Academy are made through Cheshire East Council.

Transition refers to the process of progressing from Primary School to High School.  Activities arranged by The Macclesfield Academy and visits to to The Macclesfield Academy are organised to ensure a smooth progression. Visit The Macclesfield Academy Transition page here.

In-Year applications

You can apply for a school place for other year groups outside of  Year 7 starters in September. This is called an in-year application.

School Opening Hours

The office is staffed from 8.00am – 3.45pm

Our school day runs from 8.40 am till 3.15 pm (36.08 hours per week)

Morning break: 11:15am - 11:30am

Lunch break: 1:35pm - 2:15pm
