The Macclesfield Academy Thrives as a Hub of Activity!

On Monday 3rd July, it was all hands on deck at The Macclesfield Academy as a plethora of activity streamed through the corridors and classrooms of our fantastic school.

To begin, our new cohort of Year 7 students, who will be joining The Macclesfield Academy in September, attended a Transition Day. Starting with breakfast in the canteen for students and their parents, Year 6 students were then sent off in their form groups for a day filled with quizzes, taster sessions and 'get to know you' activities. 

Meanwhile, Year 7-9 students took part in a 'Careers morning', where they worked through a carousel of sessions, which were delivered by visitors from various professions. From police, fire services and NHS careers, to professional dancing, careers in law and opportunities for travelling the world - students were exposed to a wonderful selection of opportunities and their minds broadened in how to access the many career paths available to them. 

Off site, Year 10 students braved the wet weather for a day at Wild Shore Waterpark! Despite the rain, staff and students enjoyed an action packed session on the inflatable aquapark, as well as having a go at paddle and wake boarding. 

A fantastically fun day all round!
