Forest School at The Macclesfield Academy

On Monday 9th January, Year 7 students enjoyed their first 'Forest School' session on site at The Macclesfield Academy - an exciting project which will run each Monday! 

With extensive grounds, plenty of green space and pockets of wooded areas on site, students were able to immerse themselves in learning through the great outdoors, with lots of hands on and stimulating activities! Students worked together as they explored and learned new skills, while challenging themselves and their problem solving abilities! 

It was a brilliant first session for this inquisitive group, who braved the elements on a wet and windy day, but enjoyed the added treats of hot chocolate and roasting marshmallows around a campfire. 

We can't wait to see what else they get up to as the programme continues!
