The Macclesfield Academy is proud to have been shortlisted for the prestigious "Inclusive School of the Year" in the TES Schools Awards 2025.

The TES (Times Educational Supplement) Schools Awards are a national event acknowledging achievements in the UK education sector. The awards identify notable schools, teachers, and staff across various categories. The winners will be announced on June 20, 2025, at a ceremony in London.

Mat Galvin, Headteacher said “Being both an inclusive and high performing school is an incredible achievement which is testament to all the hard work from our entire school community; Governors, Trust colleagues, parents, students and TMA colleagues. As a school we talk about our students being ‘known and valued’ and we’re delighted this shortlisting recognises this on a National stage.”

Mr Snelson, CEO of The Sir John Brunner Foundation, said, “Being shortlisted is a great achievement for The Macclesfield Academy. It recognises that every child receives a high-quality educational experience in a nurturing and caring culture. This approach is typical across The Sir John Brunner Foundation with colleagues exhibiting this care and support in our proudly inclusive multi-academy trust. I would like to thank all colleagues at The Macclesfield Academy and in particular our Special Educational Needs Team, whose relentless efforts ensure that every student can thrive academically and personally, highlighting the school's commitment to inclusivity and exceptional education.”
