With the last GCSE completed this morning, we finally said "goodbye and good luck" to our Year 11 Class of 25!

After five weeks of exams our students came in to The Academy for the final time with fond farewells, excitement and tears.  First there was the Leavers Assemby led by form teachers and Head of Year and Headteacher, followed by the traditional shirt signing.  The day culminated in the annual "Staff v Year 11" football match which resulted in a 3-2 win for the students, with the winner coming late on in the form of an outside-of-the-box from Earnie.  With the sun shining, and the rest of the school to cheer the teams on, it has been an amazing day!

Headteacher, Mr Galvin, commented: "We are so proud of our Year 11s and the resilience they have shown over the last five weeks, as well as the last five years.  They are an amazing group of young people and we wish them all the very best with their results and in their next steps."
