Today our STEM students were awarded their Bronze CREST certificates by Headteacher, Mr Galvin.

CREST is a globally recognised educational framework for practical STEM activities and project work and a Bronze Award is the recognised level for 11-16 year olds.

To achieve the award students were asked to choose and complete a project within their own time guided by Science teachers, Mrs Ainsworth and Dr Slaughter.  The project could be an experiment, research or they could choose to make something, all within the STEM arena.  This is the first cohort to complete the CREST award at TMA.

Submissions ranged from an experiment to produce the perfect cup of tea to improving forensic science and the production of an animation.  Some students, like George, even chose to make more than one submission!

Students across year groups 8, 9, and 11 participated with several students also using this achievement towards their DofE skills award.

Well done to all!
