Animals come to TMA

Today TMA welcomed Simon from @WingsandThings to talk to students about animals as part of their science topic on variation and evolution.  He brought a selection of animals including Blake, a royal/ball python, a giant African land snail, a giant black African millipede, a horsefields tortoise, Eric a eurasian eagle owl and Chokky the harris hawk.

Abbie in Year 11 said "It was a great experience to see what some of these animals actually look like in real life - you are taught about them in the classroom but to actually see and touch them was amazing!"

Emily in Year 8 said "The owl was really cool and it was awesome when the hawk flew over our heads in the classroom!"

It has been a fantastic experience for the students and their animal encounters have created a real buzz around school
