High Energy and Big Smiles at Yesterday's Sports Day!
Back
What an incredible day we had yesterday! The rain held off, the cheers were deafening, and the competitive spirit was alive for our annual School Sports Day.
Our four Houses of Pickford, Clarence, Adelphi and Regency, went head-to-head in a spectacular showcase of teamwork, determination, and athletic talent.
From the very first whistle, the school field was a sea of house colours. Students proudly wore their team shirts and waved handmade banners to rally support. Every single student played their part, whether sprinting on the track or screaming encouragement from the sidelines. The sense of community and house pride was truly unmatched.
The afternoon featured a packed schedule of events that tested our students' speed, agility, and balance. We saw blistering paces in the traditional sprint tracks and fantastic coordination in the team relays.
Of course, the traditional fun events stole the show. The crowd went wild during the sack race, which provided plenty of laughs alongside fierce competition. Watching students master the art of hopping at high speed was undoubtedly one of the major highlights of the day.
Miss Jerome, Head of PE said :"While the final points are still being tallied to announce this year's winning House, every student walked away a winner. The real triumph of the day was the outstanding sportsmanship. Competitors helped rivals up at the finish line, and teammates cheered just as loudly for last place as they did for first."
