TMA Community Rallies for Inspirational Teacher’s "MND Mile Challenge" Final Finish

The TMA Community gathered this afternoon to celebrate the final stage of Rob’s MND Mile Challenge. This powerful community event raised vital awareness for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and marked the official launch of Give Us A Push—a new initiative that uses specialist running chairs to help disabled and terminally ill individuals experience the joy of running.

Rob is a former Macclesfield primary school teacher and keen runner who was diagnosed with MND in October 2024 but he is determined to show that, with the right support, people can continue to enjoy being active and connected with their community

Rob and the team have run from Rob’s home in Bollington to each of the Macclesfield High Schools, with The epic journey concluding with a triumphant finish at The Macclesfield Academy

Mat Galvin, Headteacher said, “I am so proud of our students for the incredible spirit and support they showed by running right alongside Rob."
